A detachment armed with missile weapons may declare that it will offer 'Supporting Fire'. A detachment that does so immediately attempts to make a Stand & Shoot charge reaction, as if it were the charge target. If the detachment is unable to Stand & Shoot (for example, if the enemy unit is too close), it will stand idly by – it cannot declare another Supporting Action.
