Themed around the events described previously, when roving warbands of Orcs and Goblins emerged from the Axe Bite Pass to lay waste to the Reikland, each of the following scenarios requires the players to take on the role of either the attacker or the defender. Players can decide this between themselves, before they choose their armies, or they can roll a D6 and let fate decide, so long as both players know whether they are attacking or defending before the game begins.
Battle March Armies
The following scenarios can be played using any of the example muster lists presented in this book. These muster lists are ideal for games of Warhammer: the Old World - Battle March, and each represent one of the armies that fought in the Axe Bite Pass. Alternatively, players are free to use the rules on page 23 to write their own muster lists and create their own unique Battle March.
Linked Scenarios
Whilst each of the following scenarios can be played as a stand-alone game, players can link their games together, playing through the scenarios in the order they are presented here, with each player maintaining their role as the attacker or defender throughout. In this way, players can emulate the events described previously, culminating in the defence of the village of Gemelwald.
