This terrain generator represents the windswept northern reaches of the Wasteland, where gales blow from the Sea of Claws and cold rain pelts the barren earth. Here, the folk of Westerland live precarious lives, constantly battling the harsh elements and ever watchful for the bloodstained sails of Norscan raiders upon the storm-tossed horizon.

The land upon the shores of the Sea of Claws is cold and uncaring at the best of times, but with the arrival of the Chainmaker it has become far worse. Great monoliths dot the landscape, raised in praise of the Ruinous Powers. These crude menhirs attract the winds of dark magic, which twists and warps the landscape, causing the northern reaches of Sigmar's Empire to resemble the trackless wilderness of the far north, creating a shadowland in which the influence of Chaos grows with each passing day.

| Road: A road is a linear terrain feature that can be either narrow or wide. If the road is wide, it is well-maintained. If the road is narrow, it is likely to be poorly maintained, heavily rutted and full of potholes. Every 12" section of a poorly maintained narrow road must include a 3" section of difficult terrain. |
| Dense Woods: Darksome forests border the northern edges of the Wasteland. Dense woods count as dangerous terrain. However, any model that begins its movement within, passes through, or ends its movement within dense woodland will suffer a mishap on a roll of 1-2 (rather than the usual 1). |
| Hill: Along the shores of the Sea of Claws, barren hills rise, their slopes scoured by gales. A hill may feature one rock-strewn slope, which counts as either difficult or dangerous terrain. |
| Ravine: A treacherous ravine cuts through the landscape. A ravine is a linear terrain feature that can be either narrow or wide. A narrow ravine counts as difficult terrain. A wide ravine counts as dangerous terrain. |
| Standing Stones: Huge slabs of crudely dressed stone rise from the cold earth. An area of standing stones counts as difficult terrain, over which no line of sight can be drawn. |
| Scrubland: An area of uneven ground on which grows tangled scrub and stunted trees. Scrubland is a type of wood and may be classed as either difficult or dangerous terrain. |
| Rocky Ground: Patches of rocky ground break the earth, tripping and slowing the progress of formed troops. Rocky ground counts as either difficult or dangerous terrain. |
| Haunted Ruins: Fallen debris lies thick upon the site of an abandoned dwelling, bordered by the remnants of once mighty walls. Haunted ruins consist of a single building measuring up to 6" along its longest side and an enclosure measuring no more than 12" along its longest side. At least two edges of the enclosure must be bordered by a low linear obstacle. |
| Shardlands: The tortured land shifts and cracks underfoot, revealing lava flows beneath. Shardlands count as dangerous terrain. However, any model that begins its movement within, passes through, or ends its movement within shardlands will suffer a mishap on a roll of 1-3 (rather than the usual 1). |
| Chasm: A deep chasm cuts through the landscape. A chasm is a wide and impassable linear terrain feature. Every 12" section must include a bridge. |
| Bottomless Pit: A seemingly bottomless pit opens within the landscape. A bottomless pit is an impassable terrain feature measuring between 3" and 6" at its widest point. |
