Raid & Burn
URL Copied!

Oftentimes in war, victory can be found through clandestine acts of subterfuge and sabotage, rather than through heroics on the battlefield. Rations can be spoiled with poison and waste, ammunition stores can be set ablaze and beasts of burden can be slaughtered or set free - all of which can have a lasting impact on an army's ability to progress a campaign. To represent this, Raid & Burn may be used as a secondary objective.

Destroying Treasure Troves

A unit with a Unit Strength of 5 or more can attempt to destroy a treasure trove by moving into base contact with it during the Remaining Moves sub-phase. Once a unit is in base contact with a treasure trove, it begins the process of destroying it, scattering the riches to be found within or spoiling food stuffs and ammunition. Whilst a unit is in the process of destroying a treasure trove, it cannot shoot and can only cast spells with a range of 'Combat' or 'Self'.

If, at the beginning of their next Start of Turn sub-phase, the unit is still in base contact with the treasure trove, has a Unit Strength of 5 or more, is not engaged in combat and is not fleeing, the treasure trove is destroyed and removed from the battlefield.

Victory Points: For each treasure trove a unit destroys, its controlling player wins a bonus of 30 Victory Points.
