During times of war, caravans carrying vital supplies and rations fall prey not just to bandits, but to the outriders of advancing armies. In Axe Bite Pass, one such caravan targeted by rampaging Orcs belonged to the Elves of Ulthuan, their mysterious business causing a regiment of soldiers to venture far from the ports of the Empire, into the Grey Mountains, and into unexpected peril.

Attacker & Defender
To best represent the events that unfolded in Axe Bite Pass, the attacker should field Waaagh! Drazgog, and the defender should field the Warriors of Ulthuan. Alternatively, the players may use a different example muster list, or they may write their own using armies of their choosing. Whichever armies are fielded, the defender's army is accompanied by two baggage carts, each represented by a miniature diorama or an appropriate model occupying a 60 × 100 mm base.
Set-up
Place terrain as described.
Deployment
The defender deploys their entire army, including their baggage carts, first, within their deployment zone, as shown on the map below. The attacker may deploy any number of units in their deployment zone. Any units the attacker does not wish to deploy may be held in reserve, the better to ambush the defenders.

First Turn
In this scenario, the attacker takes the first turn.
Game Length
The battle will last for five rounds or until one side concedes.
Victory!
Once the battle has ended, use Victory Points to determine the winner. Victory Points are won for baggage carts as described here.
Scenario Special Rules
"It's an Ambush!": From the second round onwards, any attacking units that are held in reserve may enter the battle as reinforcements during the Compulsory Moves sub-phase of any of the attacker's turns. Units entering the battle as reserves may be placed on any long edge of the battlefield, chosen by the attacking player, but cannot be placed within 4" of an enemy model.
