This Army of Infamy composition list is designed to be used with the Warriors of Chaos and Beastmen Brayheards army lists found in Ravening Hordes, and alongside the Forming Units and Warhammer Armies sections of the Warhammer: the Old World rulebook.
If you wish to field a Hordes of Chaos army in your games of Warhammer: the Old World, you may write your muster list using the Army of Infamy composition list below instead of the Grand Army composition list found in Ravening Hordes.
Army of Infamy Composition List
Characters
Up to 50% of your army's points value may be spent on:
0-1 Chaos Lord, Daemon Prince or Beastlord
0-1 Exalted Champion, Sorcerer Lord or Great Bray-Shaman per 1,000 points
Aspiring Champions, Exalted Sorcerers, Cult Magisters, Wargors, Bray-shamans and Gorebulls
Core
At least 33% of your army’s points value must be spent on:
1+ unit of Chaos Marauders and/or Chaos Warriors
1+ unit of Gor Herds and/or Ungor Herds
If your General is a Chaos Lord, Exalted Champion or Daemon Prince 0-1 unit of Chosen Chaos Warriors may be taken as a Core choice
If your General is a Beastlord or Wargor, 0-1 Bestigor Herd per 1,000 points may be taken as a Core choice
Special
Up to 33% of your army's points value may be spent on:
If your General is a Chaos Lord, Exalted Champion or Daemon Prince, 0-1 unit of Chosen Chaos Knights may be taken as a Special choice
Rare
Up to 33% of your army's points value may be spent on:
Battle Standard Bearer
A single Aspiring Champion or Wargor in your army may be upgraded to be your Battle Standard Bearer for +25 points. In addition to their usual allowance of points to spend on magic items, a Battle Standard Bearer can purchase a single magic standard with no points limit.
Magic Items
Models in a Hordes of Chaos army can purchase magic items from the list of common magic items in the Warhammer: the Old World rulebook, or from their own faction's list of magic items. A Beastlord, for example, can purchase items from the common or Beastmen Brayherds magic item lists.
